Baqaei: Iranian leader left legacy of independence-seeking for nation

Bagheri: Iran's Martyred Leader Left a Legacy of Dignity and Independence-Seeking for the Nation
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Today, Iranians bid farewell to a great leader in Iran's capital, one whom history has rarely produced. In this unprecedented farewell, prayers flow from lips and gazes extend to the horizon; as if history itself has paused to turn another page of its book. A blessed existence has departed, yet what he bequeathed is more than a name and an era: a legacy of self-confidence, dignity-seeking, independence-yearning, patriotism, and steadfastness in the face of the tempest of events. Earth embraces bodies, but thoughts that call a nation toward faith in itself, protection of independence, and perseverance in the path of ideals do not fade with the passage of time. If the cypress leaves the garden, it bequeaths to the saplings that follow the tradition of standing tall; and a seed that falls to soil rises again with new shoots in the conscience of the free, and this is a legacy upon which the dust of years does not settle.
