Head of importers association warns about household appliance import ban

Ismail Arghavan, secretary and board member of the Household Appliances Importers Association, warned that the import ban since 2018 has not only failed to prevent goods from entering the country, but has opened the door to smuggling expansion and damage to the economy and consumers. Referring to efforts to establish guarantees for contraband goods and porter smuggling, he expressed hope that after a three-month period, the import ban on these items will be lifted.
