Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Iran consulted Oman for safe passage of ships through Strait of Hormuz

Foreign Ministry spokesperson: Our effort was to reach, in consultation with Oman, a mechanism that would ensure the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. We are sorry that, due to overt and covert pressure from the United States on Oman, this did not materialize. In Muscat, we were neither scheduled to discuss any other issue nor did any such discussion take place.
