Preliminary Israel exit polls show neither Netanyahu bloc nor opposition reached 61-seat majority

Preliminary exit-poll results in Israel’s parliamentary election indicate that neither the bloc supporting Benjamin Netanyahu nor the opposition bloc secured a 61-seat majority. The exit polls show Likud as the largest single party with about 24 seats; the right-leaning bloc backing Netanyahu is projected to win close to 50 seats, while the opposition bloc is projected at roughly 52–53 seats. Voter turnout was reported at about 74.3 percent as of 20:00 local time.
