IRGC: US NSI management center and military depots were targeted

The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced in separate statements that two operations, codenamed “Naser 2,” had been carried out. In these operations, facilities and depots associated with the U.S. Army and naval fleet in Kuwait and Bahrain were targeted and destroyed. The operations were conducted in response to what the IRGC described as U.S. “piracy” in the Indian Ocean and the closure of the region’s oil and gas export routes.

• The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued statements Nos. 11 and 12.
• According to IRGC Statement No. 11, in the fourth wave of Operation Naser 2, under the code “Ya Aba Abd al-Hussein (AS),” the main U.S. Army logistics and support center in West Asia, known as KJL in Mina Abdullah, Kuwait, was set on fire and destroyed.
• According to IRGC Statement No. 12, in the fifth wave of Operation Naser 2, under the code “Ya Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS),” the NSI management center, the command-and-control center, large depots of military parts and equipment, and fuel tanks of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain were struck and destroyed.
• In its Statement No. 12, the IRGC said the enemy should know that now that its pirates have blocked the route for oil and gas exports to the world from the Indian Ocean, threatening the interests of America’s economic rivals, it should expect the closure of other oil and gas export routes that serve the interests of the United States and its allies.
• Khabar-e Fori identified the IRGC as the speaker in its Statement No. 11 and quoted part of the Quranic verse: “So whoever has transgressed against you, transgress against him in the same way as he has transgressed against you.”
• Khabar-e Fori identified the IRGC as the speaker in its Statement No. 12 and quoted part of the Quranic verse: “In the name of God, the Crusher of tyrants; so whoever has transgressed against you, transgress against him in the same way as he has transgressed against you.”
• Khabar-e Fori, citing the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in its Statement No. 12, accused the “child-killing army and treaty-breaking U.S. regime” of having blocked the oil and gas export route last night by deploying its pirates in the Indian Ocean.
• Akharin Khabar and Hamshahri both, quoting the IRGC, reported the fifth wave of Operation Naser 2 and the destruction of U.S. facilities in Bahrain.. Difference in coverage: Hamshahri and Khabar-e Fori both referred to IRGC Statements Nos. 11 and 12, while Akharin Khabar covered only Statement No. 12. Khabar-e Fori and Akharin Khabar both, quoting the IRGC, referred to the reason for the operations as U.S. “piracy” in the Indian Ocean and the blocking of the region’s oil and gas export routes, whereas Hamshahri did not mention this part of the statement. Khabar-e Fori also, in its statements, quoted parts of Quranic verses on the basis of the Public Relations Office of the IRGC.
