Over two thousand poems by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei about Iran
The Martyred Leader composed more than two thousand poems about Iran, poet Alireza Ghazweh said at a press conference for the International Poem Award of Imam Shahid (may God's peace be upon him): His Excellency held approximately 35 sessions annually. I had the honor of being the planner for 30 years and the executor of these programs for 15 years. Poets from different countries participated in His Excellency's sessions, and their best memories were from this very event. No other session has ever had the impact these gatherings had on contemporary Iranian and Persian-language poetry. Balram Shakla, an Indian poet, owed much of his fame to meeting the Martyred Leader. This poet used to say that everything he has, he has from meeting the Martyred Leader. The Martyred Leader composed more than two thousand poems about Iran. I propose that for the anniversary of the Shahid of Iran, we prepare his collection of poems for publication. Today we have reached 10 volumes of standard books.
