IRGC Navy reports vessels entered designated waterways despite warnings

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced that several vessels, disregarding warnings, attempted to transit through the Strait of Hormuz via routes that the force described as "unapproved." In a statement, the IRGC Navy, referring to a previous announcement, declared: "As we stated in our previous notice, foreign interference and the designation of illegal routes for vessel movement in the Strait of Hormuz will be met with our decisive response, and will disrupt the process of increasing traffic through this waterway." The statement continued that several vessels, incited by "foreigners" and ignoring warnings, attempted to pass through unapproved routes. According to the IRGC Navy, one of these vessels had endangered maritime security by disabling its systems. The IRGC Navy announced that in response to this action, a "warning shot" was fired at the vessel, after which its movement was halted.
