Fire Spreads from Iraq to Iran / 12 hectares of country's pastures burned

Head of Natural Resources and Watershed Management Department in Qasr-e Shirin:. The fire started yesterday afternoon from Iraqi territory and spread to the Agh Dagh border pastures in Qasr-e Shirin county due to wind currents.. Preliminary estimates indicate that more than 12 hectares of poor-quality pastures in this area have been burned. However, with the timely presence of natural resources protection unit forces, crisis management headquarters members, army personnel, and the Zagros Youths volunteer group, the fire was prevented from spreading to other natural areas.
