According to Shargh, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, strongly condemning the U.S. attacks on Iranian commercial vessels in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, described the action as a clear violation of the United Nations Charter, a war crime, and a threat to the peace and security of commercial navigation, and stressed that the responsibility for the consequences of the continuation of the U.S.’s aggressive actions will rest with that country and its accomplices.
