Yemeni Coordination Center Declares Saudi Airspace Unsafe Except for Mecca and Medina

Yemen declared Saudi airspace unsafe except over Mecca and Medina, the Yemeni Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center in Sanaa told airlines. The center warned airlines that Saudi airspace, apart from Mecca and Medina, is a no-fly area and ‘‘will be the scene of Yemeni armed forces operations.’’ Sanaa said it will not accept responsibility for flights that operate in that airspace after the warning.
