Development of Medicinal Plants in Kurdistan Relies on Indigenous and Knowledge-Based Capacities

At a joint meeting between members of Iran’s Medicinal Plants Association and officials of Kurdistan Province’s Agricultural Jihad Department, the head of the Iran Medicinal Plants Association, referring to the province’s special position in the development of medicinal plants, said that making use of local and knowledge-based capacities, building a value chain, processing products, and developing markets are among the most important prerequisites for the success of this sector.
