According to these officials, the Islamic Republic had previously accepted this point in private talks with the United States. American officials also said in a phone briefing with a group of journalists that the Iranian government had postponed decision-making on several key issues of the negotiations until after the funeral ceremony of Ali Khamenei, and Washington now expects Tehran's final positions to be clarified in Saturday's meeting with Omani mediation.
