The presence of a number of American influencers and activists at the funeral ceremony of the Leader of the Revolution became one of the most controversial international news stories. “Al Jazeera Net Arabic,” citing Iranian officials, reported that around 400 foreign bloggers and influencers traveled to Iran to cover and attend the ceremony.
