Rescuers in Nepal extricated a 64-year-old woman from rubble after 10 days

According to The Independent Persian, the woman’s house was buried under a large volume of mud and flood debris following the devastating floods of 26 August. Images released by the Armed Police Force of Nepal show only part of the house protruding from the mud, with the lower floors of the building completely submerged. Rescuers, after reaching the woman, transferred her to Kathmandu for treatment. The death toll from the severe floods and landslides along the Nepal–China border has reached 1,362, and more than 5,500 people remain missing.
