Tehran provincial official says red weather alert covers northern county areas, not Tehran city

A red weather alert was issued for northern parts of Tehran province, not for Tehran city, Hamed Yazdimehr, director general of crisis management at the Tehran governor's office, said. The meteorological red warning covers northern county areas including Firuzkuh, Damavand, Shemiranat and Pardis. He said the main precipitation band will be active over the northern highlands of Tehran and the Fasham, Meygun and Lavasanat areas. (Sources: Jamaran; Etemad newspaper; IRNA Telegram)
