Kuwait Defense Ministry: Four Naval Personnel Injured in Vessel Attack

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Tuesday, July 14, that the country’s armed forces have since Tuesday evening detected and intercepted one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 “hostile” drones. Saoud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, the ministry’s official spokesperson, said that during the Islamic Republic’s attacks, a number of critical and civilian facilities were targeted, and that falling missile and drone debris in various parts of the country caused material damage. According to the statement, one of Kuwait’s navy vessels was also targeted, and four members of the country’s armed forces were injured. Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said they received treatment and their condition is stable. Kuwait’s armed forces also announced that they remain on alert and continue carrying out their missions to ensure the country’s security. Earlier, following the resumption of clashes between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kuwait had also been targeted by missile and drone attacks. Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense had announced on Thursday, July 9, that it intercepted three ballistic missiles, one cruise missile, and 10 drones in its airspace.
