Mediators in Tehran; Will Diplomacy Prevail Over War? Domestic and foreign media reported on Friday about the presence of a Qatari negotiating delegation in Tehran aimed at paving the way for resuming talks, and Axios also reported that mediators are working to prevent the collapse of understanding between Tehran and Washington. This comes as the United States has conducted fresh strikes against Iranian military targets in recent days, while the Islamic Republic has threatened not to leave attacks on its infrastructure unanswered. Are the two sides simultaneously engaged in both war and negotiations? What picture does this situation present of the actual strategy of Tehran and Washington?
