Etemad Report: Iran or US, Which Violated Ceasefire?

Etemad Report: Iran or US, Which Violated Ceasefire?
Story summary

Etemad reported: Did Iran or the United States breach the ceasefire first? Gholamreza Karimi, faculty member at Kharazmi University and associate professor of international relations and expert on political issues: Iran believes that transiting vessels must move through routes approved by Tehran, and passage through other routes constitutes a violation of Iranian sovereignty, whereas the United States and its regional allies such as Oman and some Arab countries do not accept such an interpretation and view the agreement solely as ensuring safe passage, not as granting one party exclusive authority to determine routes. Israel sees the current situation as a window of opportunity; from Tel Aviv's perspective, American strikes have weakened some of Iran's air defense systems, missile bases, and maritime infrastructure, creating conditions for renewed targeting of Iran's nuclear program. Israel's assessment is that in such circumstances, through concentrated strikes it can damage certain components of this program, while Iran has so far shown no inclination to open a direct front with Tel Aviv and in recent attacks has not targeted Israeli territory./ Etemad covered this story
