Richard Nephew, the architect of Iran sanctions and a former U.S. negotiator, reacting to Trump’s plan to impose tariffs: “Good luck with that, Mr. President. Although the likelihood of such a thing is very low, it should not be dismissed. This is a sign of Trump’s frustration and his recognition of the fact that, as a result of this deeply flawed campaign, he has lost his leverage.
