U.S. oil companies: visit to the UAE canceled

ExxonMobil and Chevron have canceled planned travel by senior executives to the ADIPEC energy conference in Abu Dhabi next week, the companies said, citing security concerns. ADIPEC is the annual energy exhibition and conference hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. ▸ The cancellations come after the U.S. State Department last week ordered the departure of some diplomats from Saudi Arabia and U.S. officials said families were being evacuated from several other regional posts.
