UAE and eight countries submit protest document to International Maritime Organization

The UAE is seeking to leverage against Iran in the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council alongside eight aligned countries by submitting an anti-Iran document to the International Maritime Organization's council, aiming to exploit this specialized institution for political leverage and repeat their failed approach on the Strait of Hormuz. The document, presented by the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Jordan, Ukraine, Yemen, and Tonga, has reiterated political allegations against the Islamic Republic of Iran while ignoring the root causes of the transit situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
