Reports: If tensions escalate, the United States would suffer greater harm (published statement)

According to the IRIB news agency, The New York Times reports on the polygraph questioning of 50 members of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff after leaks to the media about shortages of the U.S. military's weaponry indicate that it is the United States that would suffer more pain if it chooses the option of escalating tensions.
