Iraq and Syria Agree on Border Security Coordination

Iraq and Syria have agreed to enhance security coordination at their shared border following their first border meeting, during which they discussed increased security coordination, intelligence sharing, and joint border control. According to Iraq's Interior Ministry, the meeting was held in the Al-Qaim border area under the leadership of Major General Muhammad Abd al-Wahab al-Shaker, commander of Iraqi border forces, and Brigadier General Hassan Abd al-Ghani, commander of Syrian border guard.
