VAR Reaches Gilan Local Football Competitions

The video assistant referee (VAR) technology has been implemented in the neighborhood football competitions of Gilan Province for the first time.

• VAR system was used in matches held in Rasht, the capital of Gilan.
• The technology aimed to improve the accuracy of refereeing decisions in local-level competitions.. This marks an expansion of VAR technology beyond professional leagues to grassroots football in the northern province.
