Driver killed in collision with tree on Jalal Al-Ahmad highway

According to Tehran's Fire Department spokesman, at 1:16 a.m. this Sunday, a traffic accident was reported on Jalal Al-e Ahmad Expressway. Firefighters from two stations arrived at the scene within 3 minutes and found that a Peugeot 205 sedan with a young male passenger, approximately 30 years old, had veered off course for unknown reasons while in motion. The vehicle crossed the roadside drainage ditch, entered the sidewalk and green space, and collided with a tree within the green area, coming to a stop at the scene. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had sustained injuries. Firefighters initiated rescue and extraction operations and handed the individual over to emergency personnel; however, it was unfortunately determined that he had lost his life.
