Commemoration Ceremonies for the Martyred Leader of the Revolution Held in Urmia and Isfahan

Memorial and commemoration ceremonies for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were held in various cities across Iran. These ceremonies took place following his passing and with the participation of people from different walks of life. Messages were also released by officials regarding public attendance at the funeral ceremonies and the continuation of the path of the Islamic Revolution.

• Abbasali Kadkhodaei, a lawyer member of the Guardian Council, emphasized Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s self-made character and his social and political role in the years before the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
• The president of the Academy of Sciences, in a message, thanked the people for their enthusiastic presence at Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral ceremony.
• In his message, the president of the Academy of Sciences described the continuation of the bright path of the Islamic Revolution as being in the light of the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
• A commemoration ceremony for the memory of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be held at the Imam Ali Pahlavani House in Urmia.
• The representative of the Supreme Leader in the Law Enforcement Command of Alborz Province described the broad public participation in the farewell ceremonies for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as a sign that the enemy’s calculations about creating a rift between the younger generation and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution had been nullified.
• A commemoration and memorial ceremony for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was held on Monday, July 22, at Golestan-e Shohada in Isfahan.
• The ceremony in Isfahan was held with the participation of people from different walks of life.. Coverage difference: ISNA emphasized the personal qualities of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his “self-made” character. IRIB focused more on the holding of commemoration ceremonies in various cities, as well as messages expressing gratitude for people’s participation and stressing the continuation of the path of the Islamic Revolution. Defapress, by publishing images, referred to the memorial ceremony in Isfahan. In one instance, IRIB mentioned “Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei” as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, while other sources referred to “Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.”
