Jomhouri Eslami newspaper: Those who chant war slogans should be taken to southern regions of the country
Islamic Republic: Take those who chant for war and insult the negotiators to the southern regions of the country / Their elders fled the front during the 8-year war
Jomhouri Eslami newspaper wrote: These days, the news is filled with projectiles being fired in one place after another across the country. A warning must be issued that these reports are becoming as routine as ordinary traffic accidents. These days too, in the most shameless manner, they have violated the dignity of the men working hard to continue negotiations and prevent war. In a country where disrespect becomes normal and anti-rationalism turns into a routine practice, the enemy also gives itself permission to make war seem normal. The missile and bomb fire is on them, but others bear their share of this ominous normalization phenomenon — those who may outwardly seem 180 degrees opposed to the enemy, but in reality their behavior becomes the second page of the enemy’s writings. It is not that they themselves are war-loving — no, their elders and mentors during the 8-year Sacred Defense era would move even farther away than the most distant cities that were sometimes targeted by Saddam’s forces. It was only after the war that they claimed the field and acted as if the men of the front owed them. Now, too, in Tehran and from behind a loudspeaker, they speak of war.
