Saudi Ministry of Defense Reports Intercepting Houthi Ballistic Missile

The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced that the country’s air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by Houthi militants that was aimed at the southern region of the kingdom. The spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, Major General Turki al-Maliki, confirming the news, said: “Air defense systems intercepted the ballistic missile threat posed by the Houthi terrorist militants toward the southern region.” The incident came after fighter jets of Yemen’s official army struck Sanaa Airport and prevented an Iranian plane carrying Houthi officials from landing in the city.
