Israel Hayom Newspaper: Possibility of Comprehensive Iran-US Agreement

The newspaper "Israel Hayom," citing Western diplomats and Middle Eastern political officials, reported that there is a likelihood of Iran and the United States reaching a comprehensive agreement to end the "low-intensity" war. According to the newspaper, harsh statements by Islamic Republic officials against the United States at Ayatollah Khamenei's mourning ceremony, calls for revenge against Donald Trump, and the prevention by Revolutionary Guards commanders of Abbas Araghchi's travel to Doha to meet with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have added to the complexity of negotiations. The report added that despite a reduction in Revolutionary Guards attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran is benefiting from daily revenues of approximately $500 million resulting from the passage of Iran-related vessels and the resumption of cargo imports, including industrial and military equipment. According to Israel Hayom, currently around 60 percent of ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz are in some way connected to Iran.
