Naser Hadian expresses views on management of Strait of Hormuz

Nasser Hadian, prominent international relations scholar: "Stop talking about managing the Strait; we have sovereignty there. We shouldn't do anything; we should only say that the Strait, as it has been for the past 400 years, perhaps we have never been in such a geopolitical and geostrategic position, and this Strait is a very important factor — we obtained it, but my concern is that with our new approach, we might lose it. The discussion of managing and monetizing the Strait is misguided; manage it for what? What benefit does it have? It's only trouble.
