National Fuel Distribution: Second-tier (3,000-toman) gasoline quota cannot be stored, primary quota storage unchanged
Manshur brief
What happened: The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company’s smart fuel system manager said there has been no change to how fuel-card quotas are stored. He said only the primary (first-tier) quota on a fuel card can be carried over; the second-tier quota (3,000-toman gasoline) is not retained and cannot be transferred to future months. Source reporting: Fars (Telegram) and NourNews.
Details from Fars (Telegram): Despite some reports claiming changes to quota storage, the smart fuel system manager said no change occurred. Under the current rules, if a vehicle still has three months’ worth (180 liters) of 1,500-toman gasoline, it will not receive a new monthly quota in the fourth month and the card balance will remain 180 liters. The second-tier (3,000-toman) quota is not storable or transferable to subsequent months.
Additional note from NourNews: The smart fuel system manager explained storage rules and reiterated that only the first-tier quota on a fuel card can be stored, while the second-tier quota does not remain on the card.
