From JCPOA to Islamabad; Political Will, the Missing Link in Trump's Agreements with Iran

Tehran- IRNA- The experience of Iran-U.S. relations, from the JCPOA to the Islamabad understanding, shows that signing an agreement and even beginning negotiations is not, by itself, a guarantee of fulfilling commitments. What many analysts believe has been the most important obstacle to the durability of agreements during Donald Trump’s presidency is the lack of “political will” in the U.S. administration to abide by commitments and accept the costs of implementing an agreement.
