CENTCOM: Naval blockade of Iranian ports to resume from July 14

Official CENTCOM announcement: maritime blockade of Iran’s ports to resume on July 14 U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, announced that the maritime blockade on traffic to and from Iran’s ports will resume at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on July 14. According to the command’s post on X, published Monday evening, CENTCOM forces will enforce the blockade against ships traveling to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas. The U.S. military will continue to support traffic flow in regional waters for all ships that do not violate this blockade. CENTCOM added: “The resumption of the U.S. blockade against Iran follows its initial enforcement from April 13 to June 18 (April 24 to June 18).
