CENTCOM: US Forces Attacked Maintenance Facility with Attack Drones

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that on Sunday, July 1, its forces used attack drones to strike submarine maintenance facilities and military vessels at the naval base in Bandar Abbas. According to the CENTCOM statement, three uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) known as “Corsair” were used for the first time in a combat operation. The U.S. military said the aim of the strikes was to weaken the Islamic Republic’s military capabilities in continuing attacks on commercial ships.
