Iravani: If the US continues to violate its commitments

Iravani: If the US continues to violate its commitments
Story summary

Araghchi: If the US continues to violate its commitments, Iran is no longer obligated to fulfill its commitments. Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations: This morning, the Security Council, at the request of certain members, held a meeting under the agenda item entitled "Non-Proliferation." This meeting had no legal basis whatsoever. We appreciate Russia and China for their principled stance at today's meeting, in opposition to holding this legally baseless meeting and rejecting the claims raised by France, Britain, and the United States regarding the continued validity and enforceability of Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015). We also thank Pakistan and Somalia for their abstention and their refusal to support the holding of this meeting./Tasnim
