Scheduled Power Outages Begin July 11

With the arrival of a severe heat wave and an increase of more than 6,000 megawatts in the country’s electricity consumption, Tavanir announced the official start of scheduled power outages as of July 20 and stressed the need to reduce consumption by 5 percent to prevent blackouts.
