Harry Kane, captain of the England national football team, confirmed at a press conference ahead of his team's match against Norway in the World Cup quarterfinals that he played golf with Donald Trump, the President of the United States, approximately 18 months ago and praised Trump's skill in the sport. Trump previously praised Kane on the Truth Social network following England's 3-2 victory over Mexico in the World Cup round of 16, writing: "England's Harry Kane is an extraordinary player." The following day he also revealed that he had played golf with the England striker and said: "I think Kane is a great player. I played golf with him and really like him. He's a good golfer and truly excellent."
