Proposal for Common European Army

EU official Manfred Weber, head of the center-right faction in the European Parliament, has proposed the idea of forming a joint European army, calling on European members of the NATO alliance to create shared European defense structures simultaneously with their NATO membership in order to reduce dependence on the United States.
