• Ahvaz: recorded a temperature of 50.8 degrees Celsius (3rd hottest in the world)
• Omidiyeh: recorded a temperature of 50.5 degrees Celsius (5th hottest in the world)
• Safiabad-e Dezful: recorded a temperature of 50.5 degrees Celsius (6th hottest in the world)
• Abadan: recorded a temperature of 50.2 degrees Celsius (7th hottest in the world)
• Bandar Mahshahr: recorded a temperature of 49.4 degrees Celsius (9th hottest in the world).
