Politico: NATO faces Russian nuclear submarines without the US

According to Khabar Online, the magazine Politico reported that for the first time in decades, NATO held an exercise off the coast of Iceland without U.S. ships or aircraft; a move that could place NATO in a competition with Russia on its own and without U.S. support.
