Lebanon Prime Minister Says War Was Imposed, Urges Halt to Attacks and Israeli Withdrawal

What happened: Lebanon Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said in Nabatieh that the war was imposed on the country and that his priorities are stopping attacks, securing an Israeli withdrawal, and enabling residents to return to their towns. He made the remarks during a visit to a Lebanese Internal Security Forces complex in the village of Kafr Juze. He said the war was not Lebanon’s choice but was imposed, and called for mobilizing all resources to achieve an Israeli withdrawal and to rebuild the country under a single decision and unified army.
