IRGC says second drone intercepted near Strait of Hormuz Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it downed a second MQ-1 drone in airspace east of the Strait of Hormuz, in comments carried by the country's semi-official Mehr news agency. According to the report, in the last few days Iran's air defences have intercepted four US-developed MQ-1s, which are mainly used for surveillance and reconnaissance, operating around the strait.
