About Manshur
Manshur places reporting from multiple outlets about the same event side by side, so differences in framing, coverage and blindspots become visible; it does not tell you what to think.

Mission
Manshur is a media-intelligence and coverage-comparison platform focused on Iran. The aim is the whole picture: who reported an event, who did not, and how the accounts differ.
How it works
- Automated collection from a set of Persian-language and relevant news sources.
- Clustering reports that describe the same event.
- Comparing coverage distribution across the media spectrum and exposing the contributing sources.
- Surfacing blindspots where part of the spectrum has little or no coverage.
- Using AI for parts of summarization, translation and processing while grounding output in collected source material.
The 6-position spectrum
- 1. Hardline opp. — Coverage oriented toward fundamental political change.
- 2. Opposition — Strongly critical coverage that challenges official narratives.
- 3. Centrist — Relatively news-first coverage with distance from both poles.
- 4. Reformist — Coverage supportive of gradual reform within the existing system.
- 5. Conservative — Conservative coverage aligned with revolutionary and religious values.
- 6. State — Coverage from state-owned or closely state-aligned outlets.
